Marianne Vos satisfied with performance in Beekse Bergen - "It was full speed the whole race"

Marianne Vos finished fifth in the UCI World Cup Beekse Bergen. She rode with the leading group for the most part of the race but slipped back in the last lap.

This was her fourth cyclocross of this season, and she fully enjoyed herself without any worries about the result. "The course is beautiful”, Vos said. "It's a valuable addition to the calendar. There were a lot of people along the side.”

Though her performance was not up to her standards, she enjoyed the support of the crowd and is happy with how it went. “I heard them, but hardly saw them as I was focused on the race. I constantly had to be on guard. After the race began, I wasn't in a good spot, but I was still able to advance to the front. It was full speed the whole race. This race went well for me," concluded Vos.
