For the 6th time in his career Lars van der Haar has been victorious at Nacht van Woerden. After a closely contested race, van der Haar edged out the likes of Quinten Hermans and Ryan Kamp who finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.
The 31-year-old Baloise - Trek Lions rider has really made this race his own in recent years. After finishing 2nd at the 2014 edition, the Dutchman has now won six in a row of the always entertaining evening cross under the Utrecht lights.

The race was of course missing from the calendar in 2020 and 2021, van der Haar a two time European and a former three time national champion clearly hadn't forgotten the secret to victory during the hiatus however.
Earlier in the day it was joy for Vas and not the expected win for Vos as Hungarian, Blanka Kata Vas was victorious over World Champion Marianne Vos in the women's race.
