"I'm glad I finished on the podium again" - Puck Pieterse piles up World Cup podiums but remains winless

Puck Pieterse took the U23 European Champion jersey in Namur a couple of weeks ago. The Dutchwoman is now looking to add a World Cup victory to her list of accomplishments.
As of now, she has competed in three World Cups and secured podium positions in all three but has not reached the top. Her most recent World Cup was the Beekse Bergen, where she finished third. “I'm glad I finished on the podium again," she told WielerFlits.
In Beekse, Bergen, As the race approached the final lap, Shirin Van Anrooij jumped away. Despite her efforts, Fem van Empel was unable to change the outcome. Pieterse had to settle for third place. However, Pieterse has no complaints with the end result."I decided during the cross to wait a bit more to see what it was like. At one point, I did place a small attack, to see who was still able to keep up. That may not have been the best tactic, but I'm glad I finished on the podium again," Pieterse concluded.

- Pointless reporting. They are rivals, each tries their way to get their best result, with or without collaboration. As long as it’s all fair, why even report riders feelings about such stuff (yes I know, lack of other news). Anyone riding races will go through dozens of moments per race where they get emotional about the way someone else rides or takes advantage or doesn’t collaborate or more, it is natural, it is justified, it is NOT newsworthy!Mistermaumau17-11-2024
