Eli Iserbyt has won the past three editions of the World Cup round in Waterloo, and is therefore still looking positively at the opening cross of the World Cup.
"It's a shame that there aren't more races there," Iserbyt even said in an interview with HLN.
Last week the cyclo-cross discussion about the American World Cups broke out again. Bart Wellens kept his riders at home because they were "too expensive", while the organizers of Waterloo claim that they have a lot of financial help to offer, but simply do not receive enough demand.
"I am ready for the trip to the United States," Iserbyt said this morning. "I still think it's worth making the trip. We would like to win the World Cup with the team, so we are going to America with a reasonably large support team."
