Eli Iserbyt lost twice to Thibau Nys over the last two weeks, which is something that only craves for more. In the Saturday edition of HLN he spoke about the duel with his younger compatriot, which could well be the battle of the first half of the winter in the absence of the Big Three.
"I hope so," says Iserbyt. "Cross lives on duels and now there is someone like Thibau, who has Sven's support, is more extravagant than the rest and also has an opinion. I also dare to express my opinion. Thibau and I are two riders who can be talked about in both a positive and negative sense. Controversy is possible and allowed," he believes.
"That well-known surname is not always a gift," Iserbyt says further about Nys. "Thibau has already received a lot of comments when he did not ride well. I'm glad my dad didn't win the Superprestige thirteen times, because that immediately sets Thibau's expectations very high. We just respect each other and can laugh."
