It seems to be a certainty that French talent Paul Magnier will race for Soudal Quick-Step in 2024, L'Équipe reports. According to the French sports newspaper, the 19-year-old rider was initially intended to join the training team, but it was decided that he would immediately move to the WorldTour.
Magnier is not only active on the road, but also on the mountain bike. He competed for Trinity Racing in 2023, impressing with a second place in the final stage of Tour du Limousin in August. Later he also finished third at the U23 European Championships in Drenthe.
In 2022, as a second-year junior, Magnier also showed up frequently. He won a stage in the Tour du Pays de Vaud, a stage in the Ain Bugey Valromey Tour and even two stages in the Giro della Lunigiana. He also finished fourth at the World Championships in Wollongong later that year.
