Pim Ronhaar will also compete in the field for Baloise - Trek Lions in the coming years. The 22-year-old Dutchman, who has made his breakthrough this season and has taken the step to the absolute world top, has extended his contract with the Belgian formation.
"I would like to thank the team for their trust," says Ronhaar. "It was not an easy moment when I joined the team, because I was not feeling well at the time. Things didn't go as planned for a while, but the team has always had confidence in me, helped me and always supported me mentally. I am very happy that I can stay."
The Belgian team does not mention the exact duration of Ronhaar's new contract, but the young Dutchman has signed for 'a few years'. Ronhaar was already known as a great cyclo-cross talent in his youth becoming both Junior and U23 World Champion in the past. However he only made the breakthrough in elite category this year, winning two World Cup races and placing himself in the top echelon of the cyclocross guild.
