Throughout the Tour de Romandie, there will likely be many riders forced to withdraw from the race, for various different reasons. We make a list of all riders who leave the race, as well as list out a few of the main crashes that take place during the race.

Prologue

Luca van Boven and Andrea Vendrame did not start the race in the first place, being DNS in the prologue. It was a short prologue but nevertheless, the need to take risks to hunt results did lead to a crash from Team Visma | Lease a Bike's Julien Vermote. Joel Suter and Léo Bisiaux also went down during their effort.

Stage 1

After their crashes in the prologue, Joel Suter and Léo Bisiaux did not start today's stage. Jacob Erikkson of Tudor did not finish the stage in the meantime.

Stage 2

After Anders Foldager of Team Jayco AlUla became the only rider to leave the race overnight, a further nine riders abandoned on a brutal stage 2. Those were: Artem Shmidt, Jan Christen, Henri Uhlig, Stan van Tricht, Jonas Koch, Lukas NerurkarStanislaw Aniolkowski and Arthur Kluckers.

Stage 3

Six DNFs in total on stage 3. XDS Astana Team lost two as Clement Champoussin and Anton Kuzmin stepped off. Elsewhere, Matteo SobreroHugo ToumireMaikel Zijlaard and Milan Menten were all also forced to abandon the race. 

Stage 4

The Queen Stage of the race has brought a number of casualties. Firstly, Nicolas Debeaumarché was a DNS, then a total of eight riders abandoned over the course of the penultimate stage, those being: Prologue winner Samuel Watson, UAE's Rune Herrgodts, Visma's Loe van Belle, Alpecin's Oscar Riesebeek, Jayco duo Welay Hagos Berhe and Campbell Stewart, plus Intermarche pair Huub Artz and Tom Paquot

Stage 5

Jacopo Mosca did not start the final stage of the race.
