Nils Eekhoff and Casper van Uden extend with Team dsm-firmenich PostNL until 2026

Following an official kit reveal, Team dsm-firmenich PostNL confirms that home-grown talents Nils Eekhoff and Casper van Uden have committed their long-term future to the team, both penning contracts until the end of the 2026 campaign.

The 25-year-old Nils Eekhoff is best known for being DQ'd following his U23 World Championship title in 2019. However since then, the Dutchman has built a solid reputation as a man for cobbled and hilly classics, with a strong finish. Eekhoff has shown his power with 3rd place at Tro-Bro Léon, or fourth place at Münsterland Giro this year.

"The team has been a great environment for me to continuously make steps as a rider and I would like to continue that journey with the team. I and the team know what I am capable of, so I’m really motivated to continue these steps with the team and show even more in the coming years. I think with my passion to give my all, I hope to be able to inspire the other guys to push each other further and in turn that will hopefully make us achieve great things together as we need everyone to give 110 percent," said Eekhoff.

Younger of the two, the 22-year-old Casper van Uden was a dominant force at the U23 level preceding his only natural move to the World Tour team during 2022 season. This year, Van Uden came close to winning when he came second at Tour of Britain stage 4, narrowly losing to his compatriot Olav Kooij. Van Uden's third place from Milano-Torino is also worth mentioning.

"Going into the season my goal was that I really wanted to win straight away but unfortunately didn’t manage to. Looking ahead I want to become a more consistent sprinter and fight for those wins in the races where I am the finisher, but I’m also excited to get stuck in and be a team player too," expressed Van Uden.
