Speaking to El Tiempo,
Nairo Quintana's representative, Giuseppe Acquadro, spoke about the future of his rider, making it very clear that at the moment there is absolutely nothing with any team:
"I can't talk anything. I don't want to talk about Nairo because there has been a lot of talk and I want to stay out of it. You have to calm down with all these things that happen. The truth is that nothing is known about his future, for now".
He did, however, at least put a time frame in which they hope to get a team, assuring that they are working on it: "We are working on it, and we believe that within two months we can have something."
The Italian, who also represents the other big Colombian stars of the last five years, Egan Bernal and Rigoberto Urán, made it clear that the teams that belong to the MPCC (Movement for a Credible Cycling) are not going to sign Nairo Quintana, but that there are many other teams that are not affiliated that could end up signing him:
"The UCI also has a regulation. There is no veto, they enforce it. The MPCC has its regulations and the teams that are part of that group comply with them, but there are also teams that are not there and those are Nairo's options".
