After a quiet day at Paris-Nice 2024, stage 2 came to a frantic end with a bunch sprint. In the finale, BORA - hansgrohe's Danny van Poppel impressed before eventually fading to 4th behind winner Arvid De Kleijn.
"Today was kind of an easy day," the 30-year-old Dutchman admits in his post-stage interview with BORA-hansgrohe's social media team. "A lot of headwinds but then you know there's going to be a lot of stress."
"We had two goals: to sprint and to keep Primoz Roglic safe," he concludes. "The sprint went really well, I went a little early but I had to. For a few seconds I felt like I could win but in the end, fourth. Now, we get ready for tomorrow!"
