The Vuelta a Andalucía was due to start today, Wednesday 14 February, with the first stage in Almuñécar, but due to the agricultural demonstrations that took place during the day, the stage was cancelled because there were no police to control the race. The race's first two stages have been cancelled and another plan was presented.
Now, as reported from EFE, we know that the second stage that was to go between Velez Malaga and Alcaudete this Thursday has also been canceled. Thus, the race will resume on Friday with a time trial starting in the town of Jaén and will end on Sunday. Instead of five days of competition, there will only be three - if the plan goes along.
