Stage 14 of the
Tour de France was marked by a heavy crash early on which forced race organizers to neutralize the race for over 20 minutes. There wasn't very clear footage from the incident, but Velon has now revealed on-the-bike footage which makes it more clear how it happened.
In the bike of
Kasper Asgreen you can see several rider lose traction on a wet right-hander, and how
Louis Meintjes couldn't break in time and somersaulted over the bike, leading to a fractured collarbone which forced him to abandon. You can see the chaos up close. It had been rumoured that section of the road had an unnormal amount of oil which led several riders to lose traction easily.
