"100% commitment to the team, 100% commitment to the bet" said the Lidl-Trek post shared this morning, in which Jacopo Mosca readily had his head shaven by Mads Pedersen himself after the Dane won stage 1 of the Giro d'Italia and also a bet with his teammate.
The 31-year old is racing his fifth Giro d'Italia and it started off perfectly for the team who executed the plan of the day to perfection, dropping most sprinters from the peloton on the day's climbs and then leading out the Dane to perfection in order to take the win.
After the stage there was nothing but a celebratory mood in the team, and with this also came the outcome of a bet between the two.

The real problem is NOBODY yet knows Del Toto’s place in the hierarchy so everyone is just guessing if and when things might change, and usually in hindsight, predictions further than one day ahead being pretty pointless seeing as even for the next stage most get it wrong most of the time.Mistermaumau29-05-2025
