More motorbike controversy at the
Tour de France. After the chaos that ensued in the battle for bonus seconds on stage 14,
Krists Neilands has been taken out by a bike whilst trying to grab a bottle on stage 15.
The truly terrifying moment saw the
Israel - Premier Tech rider sent crashing into a stone wall after the motorbike clipped his back wheel as he went to grab a bottle. One would think the Tour de France will be losing another bike after this lack of concentration.
Thankfully an update from Jens Voigt on Eurosport has indicated that Neilands is back on his bike and battling on to finish the stage.
The title is misleading, Neilands crashes because he went for a bottle during a curve. So it was his fault. The Moto showed good skills in avoiding crashing into him.
