14% is a brutal gradient for anyone who knows cycling but
Mathieu van der Poel has made it look like nothing today as he did a recon of the circuit in the Glasgow World Championships. He's sprinted up Montrose Street, a moment caught by fans on the side of the road two days before the main event.
The climb is officially around 200 meters at 6% however it reaches 14% towards it's summit. Van der Poel is already familiar with the ascent, which he's ridden plenty times in the 2018 Glasgow European Championships, and he's been gauging the effort once again as he may have plans for the tough ramp.
