Valentin Madouas has won the 2023 Bretagne Classic, taking victory from an elite group in a four-man sprint.
As the race began to split apart heading into the final 50km, two riders, Mick van Dijke and Stefan Kung held a 1:24 lead over the main bunch. Before long however, only Kung remained up ahead and the Swiss time-trial specialist set about attempting to claim a stunning solo victory.
Into the final 10km and Kung had been joined by 13 riders with an elite group formed heading into the finale. It didn't take long for attacks to come from there, with just four coming into the final kilometre together. French Champion, Valentin Madouas launched first an secured the win ahead of Mathieu Burgaudeau and Felix Grossschartner.
