Miguel Ángel López was forced to abandon the Tour of The Gila after suffering a hard fall. The Team Medellín - EPM rider who was the winner of the first stage of the American race, was drinking water when he rode over a hole that caused him to fall and subsequently abandon.
The good news is that he does not suffer any fractures. He suffers bruises and will need to rest for a few days to try to arrive in the best condition for his next challenges.
The Colombian climber had intended to race the Tour of Greece in Europe starting on May 2nd. We do not know what decision Team Medellín will make regarding this.
