As always before the presentation, which in this case will take place on October 29, the leaks about the route of the Tour de France 2025 continue. This year they have been very contained, but some days are quite heavily reported on and we know what to expect from stage 4.
Obviously these are still leaks to the press, in this case to the colleagues of Sweet FM, who speak of Rouen as a possible end of the fourth stage of the next Grand Boucle. A stage that would take place on Tuesday, July 8 next year.
"I guarantee that when we come back, it will be in a big way," commented Thierry Gouvenou, Technical Director of the Tour de France, when asked about the race's return to the region. Thus, the stage would start from Amiens and, as we say, would finish in Rouen. This is what the folks at Sweet FM (a regional radio station that always hits the nail on the head) have to say about the possible stage:
"According to our information, the fourth stage, which will leave Amiens on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, will head for Rouen, where the finish will be judged. Before that, the peloton will cross the roads of the Pays de Bray and the Pays de Caux, before a finish in the streets of the City of a Hundred Spires. Philippe Coudy, President of the Union des métiers et des industries de l'hôtellerie en Seine-Maritime, tells us that hoteliers have even been contacted: "everal establishments have made reservations for these dates, July 7 and 8, but I cannot give you their names".

Timing in the fifth stage

Earlier it had already been leaked (in this case Ouest-France, the most read newspaper in Brittany) that the fifth stage will be a time trial of 20 kilometers through the streets of Caen. Thus, in the sixth stage the peloton should leave Normandy and it has been leaked that it could be from Bayeux or Vire, but we will not know the exact route until 3 weeks from now.
