"This team has been my home for my entire career" - Luke Rowe becomes latest rider to extend with the INEOS Grenadiers

INEOS Grenadiers have secured the contracts of various riders over the past few days. Following extensions to the likes of Geraint Thomas, Laurens De Plus and Ben Swift, the vastly experienced road captain of the team, Luke Rowe has now become the latest.

"This team has been my home for my entire career and to ride on with them is a real honour," says the 33-year-old Brit to the social media pages of the INEOS Grenadiers following the announcement of his two-year extension. "I’ve been fortunate to play my part in some of the brilliant results we’ve achieved in the past and will do the same for the very exciting future to come."

Alongside the talented youth such as Rowe's fellow Welshman, Joshua Tarling, Carlos Rodriguez, Ben Turner and new signing Andrew August, the likes of Rowe, Geraint Thomas and Ben Swift add some vital experience to the INEOS Grenadiers roster.

"My time as a Grenadier has included some incredible memories and I can’t wait to create many more. As one of the older, wiser heads, along with the likes of G and Swifty, we have a real opportunity to help the incredible array of young talent in the team as we look to achieve our goals," says Rowe. "I also want to pay tribute to the incredible support for both me and the team. I can’t wait to see you roadside in 2024 as you cheer on the Grenadiers."
