Jasper Philipsen reveals his plan to reclaim the Tour de France sprinting throne

In 2024, Biniam Girmay was the best sprinter at the Grande Boucle, taking the Green Jersey in the points classification. After a mix of bad luck and one relegation, the Alpecin-Deceuninck rider was unable to defend the title from 2023, but this year he is fully focused on regaining the throne.
To this end, Philipsen has prepared an intense program of 4 races before the arrival of the Tour de France:
- Duracell Dwars door het Hageland: 9th
- Elfstedenronde Brugge: June 15
- Tour of Belgium: from June 18 to 22
- Belgium National Championships: June 29

Mathieu van der Poel's help
Fortunately for Jasper Philipsen, the Belgian sprinter will have Mathieu van der Poel by his side again at the Tour de France. The Dutchman will be his main helper in the fight for sprint victories, and in the Dauphiné he showed really good legs considering he is coming back from a very recent injury.
