On the 16th of February, the Spanish peloton will have a different challenge. The climbers and puncheurs often have the opportunity, but this time around the one-day race - the Clasica de Almeria - will be a day designed for the sprinters. We preview the race ahead.
Early on in the race there are a few difficulties actually, it's by no means a pan-flat race, however the sprinters shouldn't be too bothered as it's unlikely that teams will be pushing hard here to make the difference. Instead, the action should all be reserved towards the flat finale in Roquetas de Mar where after 189.1 kilometers, an exciting sprint should decide the race.
Prediction Clasica de Almeria 2025:
*** Alberto Dainese, Arnaud De Lie
** Matteo Moschetti, Bryan Coquard
* Giacomo NIzzolo, Milan Fretin, Emilien Jeannière, Anthony Turgis, Orluis Aular, Jon Aberasturi, Max Kanter, Gleb Sytritsa, Iuri Leitão, Francisco Galván, Luca Mozzato
Pick: Alberto Dainese
How: Regular bunch sprint.
