Cameron Mason successfully defended his cyclocross title at the British National Championships in Falkirk on Saturday afternoon.
The Scot was competing extremely close to home in Falkirk and was given a raucous reception when he took to the course. After initially being on the back foot by Thomas Mein, Mason was eventually able to take the lead and subsequently power towards his second successive British National Championship title win.
"One of the best days of my life," Mason reacted afterwards on his official X (Twitter) account, celebrating with a traditional Scottish drink of Irn-Bru. "Doing the double, in front of all the people I love. Thank you everyone."
