Nairo Quintana to organize another Gran Fondo as he looks to remain sharp ahead of possible return to racing

Nairo Quintana has only raced one official race in 2023, the Colombian road championship, where he finished third behind Esteban Chaves and Daniel Martinez. Unfortunately, as long as he does not find a team, it is impossible to see him in a jersey in an official UCI race.

In the meantime, the former Arkéa-Samsic rider continues to train at maximum intensity in Andorra and continues with his business. He recently announced a new sponsorship from a Colombian gas company, he also has a car sponsorship and we know that BMC continues to support him in terms of cycling.

So, the latest we know is that Nairo is going to organize another Gran Fondo Nairo Quintana this year, this time in the city of Santander, in Colombia, where he will once again take another bath of masses. It's sad, but at the moment to see Nairo in a race it has to be of this style.

If he continues without a team, the only official event he could ride this year would be the Glasgow World Cup next summer, provided the Colombian coach decides to leave out a rider with kilometers of competition so that Nairo can ride.
