Nairo Quintana resides in Andorra, where he is again at the moment training and working to try to find a team to ride for next season. The Colombian cyclist has given an exclusive interview on the Joan Seguidor podcast in which he has left quite a few pearls.
LIFESTYLE OF LIFE.
"Everything I do in my life is very organic, I don't need to make efforts to eat, I sleep well, it's hard for you to see me out there going out partying or smoking, I have two children and at eight thirty I'm putting them to bed, they come with me to work, to the coffee farm, to the restaurant, we eat very healthy, very natural foods, that's not the potato packet, that's the potatoes, having good habits doesn't cost me."
PROJECTS AND LEISURE TIME.
"Little free time, leaving aside the 'Nairo' brand, preparing projects: restaurants in Colombia with cafeterias, the clothing brand, the organization of cycling rides, Grandes Fondos and we have some other projects. The time I have free I dedicate to the family, to relax".
FITNESS STATUS.
"I continue to prepare, I have done the same kilometers as a normal year despite the business, the workouts are always there and the day that the bike is not there is a treadmill or a gym and the day that the bike is not there the following ones I make up for and I am always in top shape. I'm ready to race.
RETURN
"I keep the hope of returning, yes, I'm really looking forward to it. The idea is to be able to make competitions in the Olympic cycle to be able to be there, I will start with the Nationals in Colombia, I have not left, I keep my competitive streak, I'm there."

MOVISTAR AND ANDORRA.
"In Movistar we were able to build great things, here Andorra witnessed great battles, the last time I raced the Vuelta a España I left Andorra as leader, that's why I feel good here. People treat me great."
TOUR DE FRANCE 2015.
"You always say if I hadn't, if I hadn't... in the end everything has been as it has been, it could have gone worse, I'm left with the good result and that we did the maximum, I always did (he finished second behind Chris Froome). Only God can know if it could have been better or worse. I was more second and third than first, but the times we won, but looking back at the palmarés is something that fills me with pride, one of the best in history, with the podium in the three majors."
FUTURE.
"I always have the illusion that it can be done, I continue to prepare well, I have hope. We can neither justify, nor blame, nor say more. The important thing is that I am in a position to be there, the fans want it, they want it, I want it too, we hope that the stars can align and we can see Nairo next year competing."
