Nairo Quintana continues looking for a team for the 2024 season. After spending 2023 blank, the Colombian cyclist hoped that a World Tour team would sign him for 2024. This week it was rumoured that Team Jayco AlUla could be in the cards, but Brent Copeland himself denied it.
The general manager of the Australian team reacted with humour to a social media post directly shared by CyclingUpToDate, effectively ending the topic on Quintana having the likes of Simon Yates, Michael Matthews and Caleb Ewan as teammate next year.
In recent months we have been echoing the rumors that come to us from Colombia regarding Nairo Quintana. This is one more that is directly ruled out by the team with which he is linked. It will not be easy for the Colombian to sign for a WorldTour squad in 2024.
