Alpecin-Deceuninck is known to have multi-disciplinary talents however they don't typically come from a running background. Hyper-successful duo Mathieu van der Poel and Jasper Philipsen have teased each other regarding possibly running a half-marathon together soon.

This was after Philipsen, the most successful sprinter of 2023, posted a session on Strava having ran over 22 kilometers in a fast pace. Van der Poel responded: “Another one on training camp next week?” The Dutchman interestingly featured in a video of Youtuber 'Average Rob' recently and has agreed on running a marathon at some point in coming times.
