Martina Fidanza takes victory at a wet and windy Ronde de Mouscron

Despite the cold, wet and windy Belgian weather, the 2023 Ronde de Mouscron was a fiery race and it was Martina Fidanza who took an impressive victory ahead of Anniina Ahtosalo and Valentine Fortin.

With a lone Jumbo-Visma rider Eva van Agt holding off the peloton as the race entered the finale, a bunch finish seemed almost inevitable but as the wind really began to take hold echelons formed and the main group was ripped apart and van Agt quickly swept up.

With repeated attacks from the front of the peloton being immediately brought back it came down to a bunch sprint. Martina Fidanza proved the strongest with Anniina Ahtosalo and Valentine Fortin having to settle for 2nd and 3rd respectively.
