Marijn van den Berg renews with EF Education-EasyPost in hopes to re-unite with his brother: "Hopefully Lars can come to EF when his contract expires"

Marijn van den Berg will continue to race for EF Education-EasyPost. The Dutchman has ridden for the American team for the past two years, but his contract expires at the end of 2023. Van den Berg said this last Friday on Een Berg Sport, a sports program of RTV Utrecht.

"Lars has a continuous contract. I don't know if I can say it, but I will stay with the team. My contract expired, but I re-signed, so hopefully Lars can come to EF when his contract expires," Van den Berg said, laughing.

The 24-year-old Van den Berg made his breakthrough in 2023. At the end of January he won the Trofeo San Salines and in June he claimed victory in La Route d'Occitanie. However, his biggest victory came in the summer, when he won a stage in the Tour de Pologne and was thus able to triumph at WorldTour level for the first time. The Dutchman then went to the Vuelta a España with high expectations, but he did not get further than third place.
