For the fourth time in a row,
Lotte Kopecky has won the Belgian time trial championship title. Shari Bossuyt and Britt Knaven ranked second and third.
"I wanted to win today by more than 14 seconds, Then I had to make up a second after the first lap and still pull out all the stops in the second lap. Now it was the other way around. I now had a fairly reassuring lead after the first lap. This gave me the confidence to keep up the pace I had. Both conditionally and in terms of material, things are a lot better now. I have also been working on my time trial position. When I compare my position to last year, it's really a world of difference." said Kopecky to WielerFlits.
She is the only SD Worx rider who will try for the Tricolore jersey this Sunday. "It is my goal to extend my title, although it will not be an easy task. Many ladies are going to make it difficult for me. The race still has to be run. I have a chance in a bunch sprints, but of course, it would be the most fun to stay ahead with a group. That also makes for less pressure." she concluded.
