Dylan Groenewegen will not participate in Dutch National Road Race Championships this week. The 29-year-old rider has opted to recover following the Critérium du Dauphiné and the Tour of Slovenia in preparation for the Tour de France.
Groenewegen is not the only one who has decided to miss Dutch National Road Race Championships, although for different reasons perhaps, as the hilly circuit in Drenthe should be too complicated for the 29-year old to fight for the national title.
He will be leading Team BikeExchange - Jayco at the Tour de France where he'll be eyeing the sprints. He's recently won a stage in the Tour de Hongrie, Tour of Slovenia and the Veenendaal-Veenendaal Classic.
