After his fantastic cyclo-cross season, marked by his World, European and French champion titles, as well as his victory in the general classification of the World Cup,
Léo Bisiaux was eagerly awaited to also prove himself on the road in his 2nd year as junior, which he certainly did with overall victories at prestigious races such as Lunigiana and Rüebliland. In an interview with Cyclism'Actu, Bisiaux shares his view on the importance of U23 level for riders' development.
"I think it's important to do at least one season at the development team. You have to take the time to grow and not rush things. It's good to take the time, to continue to progress in training and to take it step by step. To go directly from Juniors to the WorldTour, you have to do 10,000 kilometers more per year and it's not easy. I immediately knew that I had to go first to the U23 team and continue my rise to the highest level."
