Lance Armstrong on trick he used at Tour de France time-trials

Lance Armstrong, George Hincapie and the rest of the participants in the latest episode of the YouTube channel The Move talked about Tuesday's decisive time trial in the 2023 Tour de France in which Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard could play for the race.

They were discussing whether or not Sepp Kuss should ride the time trial at full effort in order to recover for the final decisive stages after his crash and Lance explained that when he raced in the US Postal his sport director Johan Bruyneel asked his teammates to make a maximum effort to really see the hardness and characteristics of the course and that he himself often went in the car to watch some of his teammates race and see the course at full intensity:

"What Johan did in our times was to ask the domestiques to be as strong as they could so we could see the race at a real speed, he would follow them and he would see everything and many days I would sit next to him and follow them as well to see the whole course, the curves and the speed. Also, that caused them to do good times and there were time stamps that I could use."
