La Route Adélie de Vitré was a race that brought forward a lot of aggressive racing and spectacle once again. Inside the final kilometers plenty attacks had to be reeled in, and in a reduced group sprint Jenthe Biermans took his first win of the season.
A late attack threatened to sneak away with the win as Alexandre Delettre and Julien Labrosse moved and were joined by David Gaudu. However the trio was caught inside the final kilometer. Delettre still rode for third but a sprint decided the outcome, with the Arkéa - B&B Hotels classics specialist taking the victory ahead of Sandy Dujardin.
