Kobe Goossens wins Trofeo Serra de Tramuntana

Kobe Goossens has won the Trofeo Serra de Tramuntana. He beat Lennert Van Eetvelt and  Ilan Van Wilder to the finish line and secured his second consecutive win. 

There were many attempts to break away, but it wasn't until more than 40 kilometres into the ride that a group of riders finally created today's breakaway. Rémi Cavagna, not content with this, decided to go ahead and attack solo.

Cavagna's solo attack was unsuccessful as he was caught by the riders in the final stretch. Goossens attempted to replicate his breakaway from the previous day, but was reeled back in by the group.

Kobe Goossens did not lose and attempted once more, and this time, he was allowed to go ahead. He crossed the finish line and secured the win. Lennert Van Eetvelt finished second. Ilan Van Wilder took the bronze.
