Jumbo-Visma save up but go into DDV ambitious: "With Benoot and Teunissen, we hope to play a big role in the final"

Jumbo-Visma have so far dominated Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and the E3 Saxo Bank Classic, and have been the most active team in the classics campaign. Tomorrow they set off with more limited, yet high ambitions into Dwars door Vlaanderen as the leadership status is given to different riders.

Neo-pro Mick van Dijke who will be making his debut in a World Tour race tomorrow has previewed his and the team's ambitions for the Belgian race: "There are outstanding riders at the start. With Benoot and Teunissen, we hope to play a big role in the final. They have done very well in the past classics and we will fully support them in getting the maximum result. I hope I can make it to the final" he said.

With Tiesj Benoot and Mike Teunissen who've shown good form this spring, the team carries high ambitions. As both van Aert and Laporte prepare for the big goal this coming weekend, the team has given the spots to young riders, including breakthrough sprinter Olav Kooij who is set to be a wildcard on the way to Waregem as it is a race that favours sprinters.

There are lesser-known hills in this year's race. Slopes that I haven't ridden yet, but I have researched how steep and long they are. My season has gone well so far. In the Friesland Elfsteden Race I was able to sprint for victory and in Drenthe I was in the final. I am confident and I am proud to be part of this team," van Dijke concluded.

Jumbo-Visma for Dwars door Vlaanderen: Tiesj Benoot, David Dekker, Pascal Eenkhoorn, Timo Roosen, Olav Kooij, Mike Teunissen and Mick van Dijke.
