For the second time in three days,
Jonas Vingegaard was the first man across the line at the Critérium du Dauphiné. After soloing to victory in dominant fashion, Vingegaard sent out an ominous warning to those who wish to challenge him for the Maillot Jaune.
"I felt very good, so I wanted to get the stage," said the
Jumbo-Visma leader in his post-stage interview. "It was the plan we had planned, I'm very happy that it worked. I have to thank all my team members who once again did a great job. The slope was getting very steep 6 km from the finish, we decided to harden the tempo with
Tiesj Benoot and
Attila Valter to prepare an attack. I was able to go solo, I'm very happy."
