Israel - Premier Tech bid farewell to Domenico Pozzovivo after 10 months with the team

It's still unclear whether Domenico Pozzovivo will continue his career beyond 2023 and that didn't change on Saturday, when we learned that the Italian definitely won't renew at his current team Israel - Premier Tech. The team confirmed this via their "farewell post" on X.

"We wish Domenico Pozzovivo all the best for the future following his time at Israel-Premier Tech. Domenico played a key role in Michael Woods' victory at the Route d'Occitanie - La Dépêche du Midi, while obtaining also top 10s at the Coppi & Bartali International Week and the CIC Mont Ventoux," recalls the Israeli team, which hired the Italian at the beginning of March.

A few weeks ago, just before the 2023 season ended, Domenico Pozzovivo spoke about his future with WielerFlits. "I don't have a contract for next year yet. After my last race of this year we will look at this in more detail with my management. There is not much interest, there is not a lot of conversations. It's definitely possible that I'll stop. Honestly, I still have the legs and the motivation to continue, but if it doesn't work, I'll stop," he said at the time.

Since then, Team Corratec-Selle Italia would have come closer to signing the fifth man of the Giro d'Italia from 2014 and 2018, which would see the Italian complete his 20th season in the professional peloton.
