The hopes of Dutch team dsm-firmenich PostNL will be in the hands of its two French leaders - Romain Bardet and Warren Barguil. Both experienced riders have already got plenty experience with the race with Bardet even arriving on the podium back in 2018.
"This year, Strade Bianche will be held on the well-known course, but with an extra lap, which makes the race another thirty kilometers longer," sports director Luke Roberts looks ahead. "This extra lap plus the two final sections that will be ridden twice will make the race even more selective."
"With Romain and Warren, who have already shown their good form in France and Oman, we have several options for the final," said Roberts. "We want to make it a tough and aggressive race. We are going to try to get our riders in a select group at the front of the race."
Team dsm-firmenich PostNL lineup for Strade Bianche:
Romain Bardet, Warren Barguil, Frank van den Broek, Patrick Bevin, Sean Flynn, Chris Hamilton and Kevin Vermaerke
