"Every day is going to be fun" - Carlos Rodriguez looks forward to the second half of Vuelta

Carlos Rodriguez didn't encounter Pico Villuercas in his best shape, but luckily, he was able to regain enough time in the general classification since then to climb back into the top 10. With Vuelta a Espana nearing its halfway point, the INEOS Grenadiers rider is optimistic about what's yet to come.

However to move further up the standings, Rodriguez will need to go on an offensive. "We will have to take advantage of the moment we see fit to attack. I will take it day by day," said Rodriguez to media after safely crossing the line in Baiona.

Carlos Rodriguez is currently 9th overall, six minutes behind the red jersey Ben O'Connor. The Spaniard believes that they will find the chances to make up for the lost time. "It will be difficult for him to keep an eye on everyone, although he has a good team that has controlled the race so far."

There are eleven more stages to go: "Every day is going to be fun, I'm looking forward to it and I'm feeling good after a very hard day that will make my legs hurt during the second week. There are still some pretty tough days ahead," he anticipated.
