Ellen van Dijk will only complete three more races before her big goal - Olympic time trial

Ellen van Dijk will go for gold in the Olympic Games time trial in Paris on July 27. In the run-up to her big goal, she will compete in just three more races. The Lidl-Trek rider said this in Wegkletsen podcast.

Van Dijk is currently mainly training for her next race: the National Time Trial Championships on June 19. Four days later she will also appear at the start of the road National Championships.

"Between the National Time Trial Championships and the National Road Championships, we have two team days at Papendal, which are entirely dedicated to the Olympic Games," says Van Dijk. "On the second day, the rest of the national selection will join in the afternoon."

After the National Road Championships, Van Dijk will immediately go to Germany for the LOTTO Thuringia Ladies Tour (25-30 June). "It includes a time trial of 32 kilometers, so that is a nice test," he said. "After that I won't compete anymore. In the three and a half weeks until the Olympic Games I will just train. Maybe in Austria, maybe in Limburg or the Ardennes."
