The day after the man's race, the women's peloton have ridden the Exterioo Classic Brugge-De Panne where the race also came down to a bunch sprint, where Trek-Segafredo's Elisa Balsamo took her third win of the season.
There were some attacks towards the finale, including the final kilometer but a bunch sprint was inevitable. Like yesterday, the final three kilometer were chaotic, with crashes and splits affecting the sprint. Team SD Worx were in front, and Balsamo was the first to launch the sprint with around 150 meters to go. Lorena Wiebes was in her wheel, but unable to get off it as the World champion took a strong win, with Wiebes and Marta Bastianelli completing the podium.
