Bike Egan Bernal gifted to Pope Francis now up for auction

Would you like to own an incredibly rare piece of cycling memorabilia? Well, a Pinarello Dogma F12 owned by both Egan Bernal and Pope Francis is currently up for auction.

Gifted to the holy leader by Bernal his Giro d'Italia triumph back in 2021, the bike is white with light blue accents, representing the colours of the Argentinian flag and the nation of Pope Francis. “I think I’ve had many experiences in my life, but this is unique,” said Bernal at the time of his meeting with the Pope. “It’s the most beautiful experience I have had in my life.”

With the bike listed for auction by an anonymous seller, it is unknown how or why the bike left the hands of the Vatican and ended up for sale.
