One of the ways to prevent another such tragic occurrence from taking place is making sure all riders know exactly what to do because in a lot of circumstances a fast medical response can be crucial in saving lifes.

"During the training camp in Altea, the Bahrain Victorious medical team organised a team training activity wherein riders and staff members took part in a Basic Life Support Defibrillation (BLSD) course," shows a thread on Bahrain - Victorious' official X account. "Throughout the course, team doctors provided training to TBV members on performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) using the Semiautomatic defibrillator."

"The objective of this training was to equip all team members with the skills necessary to respond in emergencies and assist a victim experiencing Sudden Cardiac Arrest or facing life-threatening injuries. It has been proven that acting swiftly can save lives, and gratitude is extended to Borja Saenz de Cos, who acted swiftly to intervene when Colbrelli experienced Cardiac Arrest. He also participated in the team training, providing his real-life expertise and advice to the team."
