Andrea Piccolo abandons 2024 Giro d'Italia after nasty crash

Andrea Piccolo has been very active without much reward at the 2024 Giro d'Italia. Sadly for the EF Education-EasyPost rider, his race is now over prematurely after a nasty crash.

As the rain began to fall, the peloton were taking no risks on the descent. Sadly though, the 23-year-old Italian was still brought hard and painfully to the deck, flipping over his handlebars and seeming in visible pain as he lay on the floor looking at his hands.
