🇫🇷 #TDF2022 ...looking forward to well needed rest day @LeTour
The Tour de France will continue from Tuesday with a break on Monday. For Aleksandr Vlasov, the rest day in the Tour de France is mainly about recovering.
He has been struggling with back pain since his fall in the sixth stage ."I'm glad we have a rest day because I really need it to recover from my fall in stage 6, I still have some pain in my back and it is very difficult to put power on the pedals. But I hope to recover well on the rest day," said Vlasov.
He continues, "Before the crash, I felt excellent and I could go with the best, but after the crash, it is a lot harder for me. The Tour is very intense, every day is very fast and nervous all the time." He currently holds the 27th position in GC, 1 minute and 16 seconds behind overall leader Tadej Pogacar.
