Pauline Ferrand-Prévot has been incredibly successful throughout her career in several different disciplines, however mountain biking and gravel are currently in her head. This October she will try to take a fourth rainbow jersey in the 2022 season alone.
In Mountain Biking there are more opportunities to take world titles with different events, however in no way does that hamper the remarkable achievement that the French rider has so far this year accomplished, including gold medals at the XCM, XCO and XCC events in mountain biking - respectively Marathon, Olympic and Short Track distances.
With the discipline of gravel quickly rising in popularity and having it's World Championships in Europe - in the Veneto region, Italy - Ferrand-Prévot will be amongst the contenders to take a win on the 8th of October.
The French rider is not unfamiliar to try these overwhelming achievements, having already in the 2014 season succeeded in taking world titles on the road, cyclocross and mountain biking all at once. Recently, Tom Pidcock has become World Champion in Cyclocross and taken Olympic and European titles in Mountain Biking. He and Mathieu van der Poel are both riders that are keen on fighting for this almost-impossible goal taking into consideration their versatility.
