The Pauwels Sauzen - Bingoal trio dominated the race today in Oostmalle as they stormed to a team podium, from which Michael Vanthourenhout took the win after an exciting battle with teammate Eli Iserbyt.
As Kevin Kuhn and Vincent Baestaens attacked the start of the race they ended up not having the legs to follow the three favourites for today's penultimate race of the season at the Waaslandcross. The Belgian trio split off the group in the opening laps and discussed the race between themselves, with Laurens Sweeck struggling in some technical off-camber sections halfway through the race leaving Iserbyt and Vanthourenhout battling for the win.
The duo battled in the final laps all the way up to the final sprint, where they went in together, but in an act of sportsmanship Iserbyt didn't give Vanthourenhout challenge as the 28-year old took his fourth win of the year.
