Lucinda Brand was looking so good on Sunday afternoon in Zonhoven, seemingly nearing another UCI World Cup win in her illustrious career.
Sadly for the former world champion however, fate had another idea as the Baloise - Trek Lions star crashed hard whilst leading solo, being forced to withdraw from the race. In a truly brutal crash, Brand was thankfully able to walk away but holding her nose, it seemed as if perhaps a broken nose may have been suffered.
