The 2024/25 cyclocross season starts a proper this Saturday afternoon in Beringen. For anyone watching the sport for the first time however, they might have been shocked at some unsavoury scenes between Eli Iserbyt and Ryan Kamp.
There was a real flashpoint mid-race as Eli Iserbyt and Ryan Kamp almost came to blows after a crash, with the former even stomping hard on the latter's bike and then remonstrating angrily afterwards. A lap or so later, Iserbyt was spotted by cameras being spoken to by race commissaires.
